I discovered Pilates while dealing with running-related aches and pains due to tight hips, weak glutes, poor posture, and a struggling core, all made worse by long hours at a desk. I love running (it’s my mental health vitamin!), but my body wasn’t coping, even as I collected my 10k and half marathon medals.

Pilates quickly became a game changer. For the first time, I found a practice that not only supported my physical recovery but also quieted my mind and helped me tune into my body in a more mindful, intentional way.

Breath awareness in Pilates plays a central role in calming the nervous system. By syncing movement with breath, Pilates encourages presence and grounding, skills that can carry over into daily life, helping individuals respond to stress with more resilience and clarity.

My Pilates classes are structured around the core principles of the method: Centering, Precision, Concentration, Breath, Control, and Flow. I offer appropriate progressions and regressions to ensure that all participants can work at a level that suits their bodies on any given day.

I don’t promote any one style of Pilates over another. Instead, I teach intuitively, drawing from a wide base of movement tools and techniques to meet the unique needs of each client. And we have fun in the process!
